Pastures Green
April 18, 2004
Another shot from the Lake District (or Cumbria) - England's largest national park.
We didn't have much blue sky at all for the weekend we were there, but I did catch the brief moment the sun shone on this hill. No wonder Wordsworth loved it so much.
There's something quintessentially English about shots like this. There aren't many places in the world you see sheep grazing on rolling green hills.

I just love the saturated green hills and the sheep. I also like the big sky. Very nicely done.
Is this the same hill feature in the banner of this site: http://www.rockalldesign.com/
LOL. No. The one used in the banner is a stock image and not one of my own.
what? windows desktop backround material?

jake, please e mail me back asap. I am doing a book for my pastor which is called establishing a Godly life style. I came across your photo and was blown away. It represents scriptures from the bible, "The cattle on a thousand hills- he causeth me to lay down in green pastures."
If I list you in the book as the shooter of this beautiful photo I would love to have your permission to use it and I would even send you a free copy. Please let me know asap.
