Dog's Mess
April 28, 2004
The area of Sunderand I live in is comprised mainly of back-to-back housing, dating back to the Victorian era, built to house the growing number of workers in the local mills and docks of the Industrial Revolution. All that separates the houses to the rear is a "back lane". These lanes are rarely used but contain a lot of curiousities such as this gate.
I remember walking down this lane previously and seeing the owner of the property. Needless to say he didn't look like the happiest of types. Would love to see his reaction to being told there was an apostrophe in "dogs mess".

That's funny.
Indeed. What I can't work out is how he's connected children playing with dog "mess". Children simply play. Blame the adults for dog mess.
It's easy to criticise for missing an apostrophe.
By the way, how do you spell 'curiosities'?
I have three dogs and always pick up.
