Sea Mist 1
Sea Mist 1 May 25, 2004
Another shot on Marsden Bay, but taken half an hour before this one. You can see there's a considerable difference in the available "afterlight".

Here I am trying to recreate those shots of the sea where the long exposure results in that misty glass-like appearance. Again the gradual grey filter was used to avoid over-exposing the sky.

Thanks turnover. What camera do you use? Has it not got a long exposure? Most compacts allow up to 30s don't they?

Very nice!

I just love the way that the sea looks like mist creeping around the rocks.

I have a Coolpix 4500 (2 year old !) and he has a long exposure but not filter. Long exposure is a weakness a lot of Coolpix. :(

Wow, this is such a dramatic photo. I love the way the clouds look, and also the mist around the rocks.
Well Done!

Nice one, Jake. Just the pub (if I remember) in the distance as a bit of colour is very interesting.
