Another shot on Marsden Bay, but taken half an hour before
this one. You can see there's a considerable difference in the available "afterlight".
Here I am trying to recreate those shots of the sea where the long exposure results in that misty glass-like appearance. Again the gradual grey filter was used to avoid over-exposing the sky.

Thanks turnover. What camera do you use? Has it not got a long exposure? Most compacts allow up to 30s don't they?

I just love the way that the sea looks like mist creeping around the rocks.
I have a Coolpix 4500 (2 year old !) and he has a long exposure but not filter. Long exposure is a weakness a lot of Coolpix. :(
