Mike Golding mentioned in this post, earlier in the week, that most of his shots are of the similar subjects, becuase that's what he likes shooting. Should he make the effort to find fields and vary the content? Most of my shots are fields and flowers and non-urban. Should I make the effort to vary it a little? Or just stick to what I enjoy?

Say what you like, but I love taking photos of flowers and I think it shows in the number of floral photos I post. It must be in the blood. Most of my family is employed by the horticultural industry in one way or another. One uncle runs a nursery and another is a successful landscpape architect. Both their wives are involved too. One even trained at the RHS. My mum is also a keen gardener. All this gives me plenty of opportunity to see a wide variety of flowers all year round.

This week I've been to my aunt and uncle's converted barn by the side of the River Don. The garden is amazing and if it weren't for me being there with my girlfriend I would have spent hours in it. Here's one I managed to find during a little forage.
