Having tackled
the pepper-pot I moved on to the more complicated laptop.
If you squint hard enough you see less of the laptop itself and appreciate the trace shape more.
Creating this effect takes some patience. It's like a steady-hand game; if you make a mistake and you have to start all over again.

I didn't know you were a Mac guy. I tried with my small flashlight and it did not work nearly as well, although still kind of fun. I think I might pick up one of these small pen lights and try again.
I'm not a Mac guy really Tom. I just happen to own an iBook and much prefers Windows on the PC. If I thought I could sell this laptop for anything like what it cost me I would...
Hey, i really liked this light tracing technique, and wanted to learn it. but i cant seem to find any tutorial online, but just photos. If you could help me out by telling what was the procedure you followed or point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it. My plan is to make a short 1 min clip by combining all the light tracing photos, how dont know how that is going to work, but lets see. I got my inspiration from a tv ad, and i so want to do it.
will wait for your reply.
I don't get what you did, isn't that an a effect you could do using your laptop?
