These pesky little buggers are almost impossible to photo!
There were about four of them dancing around the pond in our garden this morning. It must take enless amounts of patience to get a great photo of one, which I don't think this is. I shall keep trying as long as they keep coming back...

I think it's good - if you crop and rotate 90 degrees you have more subject matter in a landscape perspective. Also interesting to see a red one. They're blue or black where we live, but otherwise nearly identical.
Forget the landscape perspective comment... just rotate it. :-)
Hi, thank you for your photo on Google. We just took a picture of one on our patio sitting still! No special equipment here so got the best we could. Have never seen a red one before today. Have found a preserved intact brown one and mounted it last year. Must like the solitude of our patio. Here in Pasadena, Calif.
