Last week the Goose Fair was held in Nottingham for the 710^th year. It's been years since I was last there as a child. In the years since it's gotten itself a bit of a rep as a mugger's paradise. Everybody I spoke to about it told me not to take anything valuable and that I was mad to think of taking a camera and tripod.

A million people visit in the four days it's held over, so there's bound to be the bad-lad element and some crime. It's not half as bad as people would have you think though. We went on Friday night and didn't feel threatened in any way. I didn't get chance to get the tripod setup but I would have felt fine doing so and saw a few others who had.

It was a fun night and I got a few shots I'll share over the next few days. If you think of going in the future, don't listen to what people say, it's a nice family night out!
