Jerry spoke on Monday 04th of April 2005 at 07:28 PM, saying:

Hey! It's... a... tree.

Might be more interesting cropped to show just the bark?

hellcatzach spoke on Tuesday 05th of April 2005 at 08:33 AM, saying:

I disagree with Jerry's comment. It wouldn't be more interesting, just different.

Jerry spoke on Wednesday 06th of April 2005 at 08:55 PM, saying:

Well, consider that with the background, you know roughly the setting in which the tree is placed... a sunny day. Notice the lighting on the bark. Cropped to show only the bark, you would be left to wonder at the setting. This might create some interest. The texture of the bark and the lighting stands on its own. The background is a little bit of a distraction and lends itself, framed as it is, to an off balance composition.

Just some thoughts.

hellcatzach spoke on Wednesday 06th of April 2005 at 11:51 PM, saying:

I see your point, but the "off balance composition" is exactly what I like about it. The just bark idea is a good idea, but it would become a different image altogether.

Jerry spoke on Tuesday 12th of April 2005 at 02:14 PM, saying:

I see what you're saying. You would lose the 'scenic' aspect altogether with the cropping.

Jesus spoke on Monday 30th of January 2006 at 06:36 PM, saying:

Jerry is right.

Me spoke on Thursday 22nd of February 2007 at 03:02 PM, saying:

Yeah, Jerry's right! Go Jerry :D
